Summer School Announcement: Urgent Normative Challenges to a Sustainable Future

Along with Ruhr University Bochum, University of Graz, and University of Bern, the GSPC will be co-hosting a Summer School from May 31st until June 5th, 2022, titled Urgent Normative Challenges to a Sustainable Future.
The Summer School is dedicated to an important but often neglected aspect of sustainable development: the normative challenges that arise in the course of social, economic and technical transformation processes. These challenges will be addressed in an interdisciplinary way in thematic blocks on climate change, migration, human rights, race-, sex- and gender-based inequality, and populism, and will be linked to political, economic, and legal approaches and solutions. The topics and their interrelationships cover a large part of the goals of the UN's "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" (Sustainable Development Goals, SDG).
Lectures will be held by: Prof. Klaus Steigleder (Bochum), Prof. Corinna Mieth (Bochum), Dr. Antoinette Scherz (Graz), Prof. Markus Stepanians (Bern), Dr. Reza Mosayebi (Bochum), Prof. Lukas Meyer (Graz), Dr. Sabine Hohl (Bern) and PhD candidate Karen Poertzgen (Bern/Bochum).
